St. Lawrence Series – n°12

Part of a collection inspired by time spent at a family cottage on the St. Lawrence River in Québec.  Rain can be just as beautiful as sunshine.  On this rainy day the cloud cover was not so thick that it blocked all light from getting through.  This created a soft, almost hazy light.  Looking closely one can see patches of rain at the horizon.

Painted on a gallery wrapped, archival quality, acid-free heavy duty canvas with kiln-dried stretcher bars and wooden frame.

Painted using water mixable oil paint.

Sprayed with UV protecting varnish.  Although I treat all my work with a UV protecting spray, hanging artwork where it gets direct sunlight for a prolonged time can result in sun damage over time.  Please be aware of this when deciding where to hang your artwork.

The painting wraps around the sides of the canvas for a clean and seamless finish.

Sawtooth self-leveling hanger affixed to back of canvas frame for ready hanging.

I typically work by applying paint in thin layers.  This can make my work more delicate than some.  Please use caution when handling original artwork to prevent damage.
