Water Detail n°1

This painting is based on a reference photograph I took of the the setting sun turning gently lapping water into gold.  Although most of the painting is done in acrylic I used oil paint for the small spots of sunlight dancing across the water’s surface.  This is the first of my Water Detail series.

Painted on archival quality, acid-free heavy duty paper designed for use with acrylic or oil paints.

Painted with high quality acrylic paint.  Details painting using water mixable oil paint.

Sprayed with UV protecting varnish.  Although I treat all my work with a UV protecting spray, hanging artwork where it gets direct sunlight for a prolonged time can result in sun damage over time.  Please be aware of this when deciding where to hang your artwork.

The painting wraps around the sides of the canvas for a clean and seamless finish.

This painting will need framing in order to be hung on a wall.

I typically work by applying paint in thin layers.  This can make my work more delicate than some.  Please use caution when handling original artwork to prevent damage.

Original artworks come with a certificate of authenticity.
