House Finch n°2

I really enjoyed working on this image as each feather of the wing is in sharp focus allowing for a very detailed drawing.  I also enjoy the subtle ruddy red the male house finches have.  Read more about this series on the about page.

Created with ink and coloured pencils on a thick sketching paper.

Sprayed with UV protecting spray.  Although I treat all my work with a UV protecting spray, hanging artwork where it gets direct sunlight for a prolonged time can result in sun damage over time.  Please be aware of this when deciding where to hang your artwork.

This artwork will require framing to be hung on a wall.
