Dark-eyed Junco

Dark-eyed Juncos spend their winter southwestern Ontario.  Their arrival is a sign of winter coming.  Their colouring is quite fun has it often looks likes they started out white but got dipped up to the stomachs in the blue paint!  Their blue-grey colour is often much darker in real life, I took some artistic license and lighten it for this drawing. Created with ink and coloured pencils on a thick sketching paper.

Sprayed with UV protecting spray.  Although I treat all my work with a UV protecting spray, hanging artwork where it gets direct sunlight for a prolonged time can result in sun damage over time.  Please be aware of this when deciding where to hang your artwork.
