Water Detail n°2

This painting is the second in a series of water detail paintings, taking a closer look at the ever changing patterns and colours created by the combination of water and light.  This particular image was created at sunset.  The angle of light left most of the water’s surface in dark shade but highlighted certain peaks and troughs in saturated golden orange.  The closer you look at this artwork the more depth and pattern you will see.

Painted on archival quality, acid-free heavy weight paper.

Painted with high quality acrylic paint.

Sprayed with UV protecting varnish.  Although I treat all my work with a UV protecting spray, hanging artwork where it gets direct sunlight for a prolonged time can result in sun damage over time.  Please be aware of this when deciding where to hang your artwork.

This painting does not come ready to hang.  It will require framing.

I typically work by applying paint in thin layers.  This can make my work more delicate than some.  Please use caution when handling original artwork to prevent damage.
